Senior Design Engineer, Power Electronics

to work in our Vantaa, Finland location as a member of the R&D department.

What you need:

We are looking for a senior design engineer to work as a member of the Powernet custom design team.​ The ideal candidate has strong design experience from the electronics or power electronics industry combined with in-depth knowledge electronics and electromagnetics theory.​ You are also familiar with modern design standards and design guidelines applied in industrial electronics.​ You will have no subordinates and report directly to our chief technology officer.​

Essential tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead designer role in power supply design projects.​
  • Work in close cooperation with Powernet sales, project team and Powernet production.​
  • Create and maintain custom design power supply specification together with customer.​
  • Plan and document product design verification and type tests.​
  • Give input and attend designing Powernet technology platforms.​
  • Responsible for ensuring that product specification is fulfilled per customer needs and direct cost target is met.​
  • Gather and explore information on latest and upcoming component and power supply technology.​

Job requirements:

  • We ask for ten years in industry in electronics design position(s).​
  • University or lower university degree in a technical field – electronics, magnetics or power electronics.​
  • Experience of common CAD/​CAE tools.​
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools and some project planning software.​
  • Experience of common ERP systems.​
  • Knowledge of mathematical and circuit modeling and simulation tools.​
  • Languages: English, German (plus)
  • Willingness to travel
