Reliable inverter solution for railways

Challenge

Our customer required a power source for an inverter solution that converted back-upped 24VDC to redundant AC 230 V output. The railway specific standards and high reliability requirements presented additional challenges.

Powernet Optimal Solution

We designed a sub-rack that used the existing inverter and bypass modules and was able to handle the special standards. The system power requirement was 24VDC / 230VAC 6kVA n+1 modular inverter system.

Benefits for the customer

We managed to provide to our customer a tested and economical solution to meet railway specific standards in a tight schedule. By redesign of the existing units, we created a redundant n + 1 system with high availability for customer’s critical solution.
